Mopar Alley Car Show, Cupertino, CA, June 10th (Saturday) at DeAnza College

There is talk of disbanding the Club.
That's really too bad, 1 of the most anticipated shows i go to each year for the last 20 plus. the swap meet was definitely growing..the older classic cars at 1st dwarfed the new 1's in participation but over the last few years they became the minority by far due to,
1, sold the cars and took the money,
2, got too old and crippled to go out, (seen plenty of that)
3, Died. (seen too much of that also)
4, younger generation identifies more with modern iron, 700HP+ package cars with factory warrantys for 50.000.00 (used) u dont have to work on from the ground up.
5, etc etc...

Update, read this over on A bodys forums...

The latest update I read on the Mopar Alley FB page is that new officers have been elected and the club will continue. No word on any show this year. Probably too late for that. But there’s hope for 2026.
I was at the last meeting and there is going to be a show and swap meet this year. The exact date is still being determined but I believe they said it will be before July 1st.

Are you the guy I spoke to this morning at Cars n Coffee? I’m the guy with the ranchero if that’s you.

Bumping this to the top because I'm curious if any of you will be bringing any cool parts to sell at the swap meet?

I try to make the show every year. About half the time I am selling, the other half I'm just a spectator. I've never taken any of my cars there.
This year I'm going to Pennsylvania for the Nationals in Carlisle.

Yeah I was more hoping someone would say they have such and such parts they want to sell and maybe a light would go off in my head.

Also, we will have new judging going on. We have expert judging classes instead of popular voting.

The ‘Joe Dirt’ 1969 Daytona movie car will be there along with 1971 Hemi Cuda Factory convertible on display.

Swap meet section is larger this year and pre reg swappers can camp under the shaded solar panels.

We will have three ‘unveilings’ of cars not seen before in public.

Modern as well as classic cars are welcome to attend. Gates open at 8:00am for show car and 6:30am for venders and will run til 2:00pm.

Food venders will be on site if you need snacks or drinks.

Show will be held at De Anza College
21250 Stevens Creek Blvd
Cupertino, CA 95014
Free parking for the public

Good for you guys. I'm glad to see some changes in the operations.
I've always found participant judging to be a lazy way of judging show cars. Unfortunately, when you can't get club members to help out with these shows, you do whatever you have to do.
The Capital City Mopars club has some great people but there are some lazy ones that contribute nothing and rarely ever help at our events. I've heard it is the same in many clubs.

Our goal is to promote the club and have fun. I’m not even in my swap spot for the first time in 20 years as I will be in the tent making announcements, promoting the Joe Dirt Daytona and Wade Ogle Hemi Cuda convertible, the unveiling of three never before seen mopar cars and signing up more friend under the tent. It should be a fun show this year.

I would have been there if I wasn’t at Carlisle. I’ve attended the Mopar Alley shows since 2001.

I was all set on going, but timing worked out where parts I need to install on both the Coronet and Corvette came in and I want to crank thru that this weekend. Mainly because I don't want to sit on them an additional week to then find out they are wrong and I need a refund.

I went to the show as a spectator for a couple of hours. Kudos to everyone for making the show much more organized! It seemed like the show was a little bigger than last year, but still smaller than years ago. Hopefully, it will grow from its new start today. @Kern Dog You will be happy to know that the “Swapers” sign was nowhere in sight!

I went down to the college to take in the show and swap meet.
Lots of cars, but the swap section was rather disappointing.
Not that i was looking for anything, wanting to buy anything, but i would have considered it pretty small.
And for me getting there and back, i have to navigate five California highways getting there and then back home.
And the drive home was rather irritating with so many areas 20 mph, even at that, in spots. GGRRR.
Saw quite a few people that i know, recognized, but have't seen in years and years that i recognized the face, but couldn't put a name to the face.

Apologized to them for that, but i guess it's a sign of being an old man of 72, in 2025.
Since this is the "B" bodies site, I'll post pictures of ten B body cars.

Hell yeah! My efforts are starting to pay off!
I hope that the club did well and that all that participated had a good time. Those that host these shows do it NOT to get rich but to help others celebrate the hobby.
