I knew something was buried in this garage for the 22 years we’ve lived down the street, turns out it’s been there since 1997.

I introduced myself when I saw a guy that was cutting the grass, it was the original owner who parked it there in his dad’s garage when he moved away.

He is now cleaning up his dads estate, after some great conversations and clearing it with his siblings he agreed to sell it to me if I promised to put it back on the road and not flip it.

After 4 hours my son, daughter, and I had it running and drove it around the block.

My H.S days I owned nothing but Poncho’s.
Here we go again.

301 4bbl, not a Hot Rod but it’s now the Family Firebird, should have it ready for the Hines Cruise at the end of August, we’ll just drive it as a survivor for now.

That’s a cool cruiser…pardon my ignorance but what year is it?

I LOVED Trans Ams when I was a kid.

Nice and clean, inside and out. Congratulations!!!

Already are, he said he thinks it’s a 1977 Yamaha IT 250?
You have a good eye, I don’t know much about motorcycles but am dealing on it anyway

My dad bought one of them new in 1979.
It too was a 301ci car.
That’s dad on the right.

Great score! And its not black like most of them were. I wanted one of those with the "new" body style back then, and my wife wanted more of a luxury car. We bought a Cordoba. I got drunk and wrecked it. The end.

A friend had the turbo version circa 1988.
It was "OK".
Not enough head room in those for me to own one, though.

SWEET find! Have a lot of Pontiac blood as well. My folks and brother had several including a few GTO's. I went to get my driver's license in my dad's '63 GP 389/tri-p (funny story on that) and had a '67 GTO in HS. I'm eying a '68 Firebird 400/4sp now, price is tall but the ride is a frame-off restoration. Going to travel to look at it next week. ENJOY your new find!
