1967 Coronet 440 header questions

I have bought a 67 Coronet 440 . The 440 is a 79 engine and was just rebuilt to pretty much stock. I have to pull the engine so I can repaint the engine bay and when its out I am going to repaint the engine because it was painted blue. I plan on installing an intake , cam and headers as well as installing a Pertronix Ignitor 2 conversion kit.

I have heard the best header for these cars is TTi, but they are $1100 USD. Now I am in Canada so by the time you add exchange rate, Taxes, Tariffs and Brokerage fees I will be over $1800. That's a little excessive for headers. Is there another header that fits good on these cars that are better priced and you don't have to beat on them to fit? I do want ceramic coated headers just to reduce the heat. I mean I could buy steel and wrap them, but that is suppose to rot them out faster.

Being I want ceramic it has to fit without hammering on them.

Big Block Mopar Tri-Y Under Chassis Headers
Schumacher Tri Ys . I bought a used set years ago they fit with no mods, easy install , good starter and plug access.
They were closed at one time but are now back open under new owners.
Cost is lower than tti,
I had seen a track test on them , better than HP manifolds but less hp than full length tubes.

I don't know about nowadays, but over the years I have run numerous headers on my 67 coronets with a 440 and never any any real issues. Some were easier to install than others. You want a small header which helps. I have run those Hookers before but they are a little big at 1 7/8. The ceramic coated ones are a good deal!

No idea how good they are, but you can go real cheap to better:

The 1 7/8 hooker headers i have, plugs 6 & 8 have to be removed under the car.

Ya looking for 1 3/4 , yes this hookers are at a good price right now. The main thing is finding a header that fits without hammering on them. Read some posts on different forums and guys complaining about having to beat on their headers to get them to fit. They were all real old post like 10 years or more, so was thinking maybe they have been improved by now. Just what brands have been improved.

I would recommend replacing your motor/trans mounts before installing headers. Worn out mounts can cause clearance issues.

The motor was just installed last year. I believe he went from the stock 318 to a 440. So maybe new mounts already but we will see.
