Fridays 16 car shootout was going to be difficult. Knew I had to be on my game. Plenty of hitters looking to grab the $3200 purse. I was close in rd 1, -.001 red. On to today. Won 3 rds and was paired up against my buddy Dave. For rd 4. Ive worked on his car quite a bit. It spun all yesterday. Losened it up and put some weight in the trunk. The radial guys were having issues. My car hooked perfect. We were looking forward to running each other. The winner had a bye into the final. But rain bit us. So we split the pot at 5 cars. Pocketed $700. Tommorow is a new race.

Went to the semi's today. Was late in rd 5 but had room to get it done. Caught him with 10 feet to the finish. Broke out by .009 taking too much stripe .022 ( 3' 11").

A lot better than I did Saturday. In the 3rd round I was ahead by .359 and still broke out by .004. I tried to dump but waited to long because he was the faster car.
