There was about a 5 year span, lets say '83-'88; when my 2 friends and I all had real jobs, ages 18-23ish.
We pretty much dedicated Sunday's to working on our cars. Very few Sundays passed without someone's car getting attention. Sunday was car day.
So today, the first Sunday after Carlisle, I promised myself every Sunday for the foreseeable future, work on my GTX will move forward.
Much of it was done 20-25 years ago and I had it pretty far along. I bought all sorts of stuff along the way........ It's more of a time issue than it is a money issue, and it isn't going to put itself together.
So...... this is my official build thread.
I think I'm counting on you guys to hold me to it. That's why we do this, right?
It was hot and humid as balls today; but I managed to give the shop a much needed cleaning and reorganizing, it was an all day event; Now I have full access. With everything on dollies I can pull it out into the work area and have at it any time I want.
First move is to clean it up, assess where I left off, and get the ball rolling again.......I believe it's been at least 10 years since I've touched anything. I touched it today, and I'll touch it again next Sunday. This doesn't mean the other days are out; but Sunday's are in, for sure.
not a bad lineup.....
Year One bumpers in wax paper from 2001 maybe? I never looked at them
