Back to school bash

Our police department had their annual back to school bash today.
Here’s some photos that I took. It was a HUGE turnout. We gave away 312 book bags in less than 30 minutes and served 80 pizzas and a big case of cookies. It was awesome to bring the community together.

Wonderful ! The importance of local LE involvement personally with local youth groups cannot be overstated. A familiarity...a camaraderie... a trust... is developed on BOTH sides, which reaps benefits for everyone in the long run. In NYC, we have the PAL ( Police Athletic League )

You are so right. It’s important to show the younger generation that LE are your friends. It also gives kids the opportunity to have nice things that others may take for granite. The smiling faces makes it all worth it.

Great for you (your a good man)
& all those (kids) & others that participated, especially LEOs...
IMO never too young to learn they are (mostly all) our friends,
& to respect them, will go a long way in life...
