I looked on the board and only found one old thread on installing these grommets.

Still not clear, How do you stretch it to go around the cable fittings?

I wrote up part of what’s in that link. If you need more details, let me know

Electricians have these black grommets that come apart. I got one from an electrician friend years ago. Worked very well. Might be able to reconstruct what I did.

You’ll be surprised how much that grommet with stretch. Use socket wrench extensions, adapters and sockets to gradually stretch it to the diameter needed to clear the flange.
Start with a 3/8” extension - lube it and slide the grommet up to the wide end. Then use either a 1/2”adapter snapped into the end of the extension, or a socket. The idea is to get the grommet on a socket that has the same diameter as the flange so you can slide the socket over the cable - and butt the socket against the flange and slip it over the flange. It make take several combinations of ever increasing socket sizes to do this. If everything is lubed and you work the grommet up in diameter, it should work. It may take a few tries.
Something like in the photo below. I’m showing a wire sticking thru the sockets, simulating the cable. Good luck!
