Has anyone replaced their override and 4-way flasher toggle switches without paying the money for new ones? I found an override switch, but they are asking $135 for it. I'm trying to find a toggle switch that has a 7/16 28 thread so I can use the original dress nut. I figure if I was able to use the dress nuts with a chrome knob and both match, it shouldn't look to bad.

Have you tried taking 1 apart and cleaning it up
No, not as yet. I was going on a new replacement. I'm trying to find a new one that has the proper thread for the dress nut. Need I say that might not happen.

the flasher is a 4-post switch, so you’d have to rig something up to use this (I think). Could remove the factory terminals and crimp on some ring terminals to all four wires. Then they’d work with that screw on the switch.
Also If you don’t already know, the flasher switch is useable for the hold open. Still I think you’d find cleaning the originals to be pretty easy and a good route if you don’t want to mess with your harness

The switch for the override is also 4 terminal, but only two were being used.

The override switch is also 4 terminal but only two were used. One was used on the opposite side. I don’t know how well you can see in the picture.

Oh ok, then maybe someone already swapped it out at some point. Unless they used either when they built them, who knows

Could very well be. That switch has no continuity at all, and the 4 way flasher switch only works if I find the right spot.
