This Person Had a Bad Day

Interesting how the extra gate came down. Complete idiot, but can't say I've come across that extra gate.

Car/Train accidents in Savannah Georgia all too often.

The train always wins of course.

Years ago we fixed the front of a celebrity, old gal drove into the side of a slow moving grain train.
Took the front cover and bumper off.
She just sat there till the train was past.
Damn lucky she did not get drug down the track.

Alternative ending....the train is late and Larry gets away.

Their boss is the one who had a bad day. They lost a van, and probably have to go through employment applications looking for a replacement for this yahoo.

This person should be home counting blessings

Back around 1990 maybe 91 I was sitting at the railroad crossing watching the train go by when a car slammed into the back of my truck.... Pushed me a couple feet closer to the crossing gate... 18 YO kid, drunk as hell... He went to jail... No insurance... I bought a bumper , trailer hitch wasn't damaged...

Or light-weight aluminium tubing.
We had many at work that I replaced several times a year. They were in parking lots and a few at the tracks around the plant. These were all made out of 3/4 inch cedar, painted and striped. In our case, they were made out of cedar to be light and break away rather than screw up the mechanism.

Close call! I always stay 100’ + away from the crossing gate. I seen 1 derail, your to close if you’re tight up against the gate.
