71 Charger Dome Light

My dome light no longer works. I have replaced the bulb. It does not come on when opening the doors or by turning the light switch to the left. I have the standard dash. I will say the dash lights dimming action is very erratic (if that has anything to do with the dome light). Any thoughts? Thanks in advance...

Putting the meter to it, it goes from 9-10 volts down to 0 in about 1 1/2 seconds ?

Which color wire are you testing? Did you try a test light?

oops, nevermind. It was the bulb!

Unfortunately, new stuff can be bad by default. Glad you got it resolved.
