I'm almost at wits end with this car.

Two sayings that I read on here from fellow members helped me through when I was in deep (and at one stage I was in very deep, mentally exhausted and financially very concerned):

1. One day the repairs will end.

2. It's only money, you can always earn more of it.

Just keep going, have the odd break if you need it but never quit.

That is a SWEET Plymouth you built! Congrats!

I think I bought a huge piece of **** and I dont think this will ever be drivable. No matter how much work and time I put into this Charger, I just keep getting it up my ***. I'm having the feeling I never should have bought this car. Problem is, I have more money into it then Its worth. :BangHead: Its a cool car and all, but I'm losing hope.
Just walk away for a bit and then deep breath and pieces will come together. Been there myself. Patience and a clear head equals solution

Nice.

I made a rule with my current car.. i only work on it when i feel like working on it.. if you force yourself it will make you nuts.. Also.. take small bites, it took me almost 3 years to get my car where i can drive it and i still have a massive list i'm unhappy with... some guys here have taken over 10, it should be something you enjoy working on
I find this is good advice. I pick a project, but don't put any hard deadlines on finishing it. This is a hobby and its supposed to be fun. Sometimes I'll work on it everyday, other times days go by with no work completed. For example, I'm currently replacing the dash pad on one of my cars. If I had started the project thinking I need it done by the next weekend to attend a car show. The deadline would take the fun out of it for me.
Inevitably once every thing is apart, I'll find other things I should fix/correct while its apart. When I have a hard deadline to complete, it feels more like a chore, than Hobby.

Pictures of said piece of **** and list of problems are needed for me to make a proper and educated response.

I was starting to think you need a full body job, interior job and mechanical and that maybe you'd be better off selling it and buying something better. Photo doesn't look too bad though, still consider your options, honestly maybe you're over your head and should consider selling this one and saving up some $$$ and buy a better one. Depends on what you want. These days you don't go down to the Chrysler dealer and buy new parts that bolt on, fit and don't leak, it can be a frustrating journey if that's what you're expecting.

As Greg, aka Kerndog, likes to point fun at me on my 65 because it's been going on 10 years for it, life happens. One bite at a time!
