Vintage Mopars in traffic

1977 Dodge truck. The Utiline is what Dodge called a Stepside.

Had no idea the tv show Chips had so many ridiculous chases and crashes until Car Chase Wonderland 2 started posting clips.

I thought at first the music was added to the videos, but now I'm thinking it was in the show.

No ads for anyone who's interested. Chips must have a copyright thing going, or the channel has a deal with them.

In any case, 100% worth it to check it out.

I do not know. I've just heard the truck dudes calling them Utiline and Sweptline. So often, the Chevy terms sound easier to accept. Step side/Fleetside sounded more elegant. It is like the other terms....Positraction is a cool term. Sure Grip isn't as much.

Yes. Basically a truck with Coronet quarters.
Sorry, all of those used Desoto 2dr quarters.
An acquaintance of mine in Oklahoma wanted one. I found him a 58 Fargo 313 3 spd with a factory radio, small back window. Got the information from the original owner and bought it from second owner. I really questioned myself about telling my friend and finding him another Dodge or Fargo.
He drove up with a 74 Newport and car trailer. Loaded the truck and wasn’t a chance of hauling it. Fortunately I had ordered extra leafs for our son’s Charger which turned out to be way to high for it. They were out of the Charger, so Gary put them on the Newport. Bumper not close to the road anymore. Hauled it home without any problem.
Unfortunately sometime later he broke his back. Needed money, sold it and now it is in Washington. It would be here if I only new.

I have one and it drives down the road beautifully. Rebuilt stock suspension.
The lines in these are so cool, fenders, fins, the roof is crazy.

Ironically I've seen two others in person this year. The Signet 200, 2 door hardtop, can't be common.

The one in the middle I saw in a hotel lot, so kinda in traffic. Husband/wife drove it cross country, 3 on the tree!

A friend had a 61 hyper pak. Nice little black sporty red interior 200 2dr hdtp. Handled a lot better than cars in that class.
Local RCMP (police) couldn’t catch him one with their Pontiac 283.

The love it or hate it 1970 Coronet!
