Mopar versus Chrysler Nationals

Norwalk Ohio, September 19,20,21 great racing, car show okay, swap meet is ok. Temperature is much better than Carlisle or the Nats. I like them all. Hot rod power tour is my new favorite. Drive the damn things that's their job not baking in the sun, sitting still all weekend. HRPT also has variety of auto cross, drag racing, dyno time, all very laid back for the fun of it.
I'll still be at Carlisle and the Nats next year, but I would kick either one to ensure I'm on power tour.

That might be fun.

Being a west-coaster, neither one are something I think about. They may as well be held on Mars.

Can you just do a leg or two?
Looked it up. Looks like you do have options in how you participate in the HRPT. Might have to check it out for next year.

I do miss the Mopar Atlantic Nationals at Englishtown NJ. At its height, it was definitely one of the best Mopar shows around. It had a great car show, swap meet and drag racing. As Englishtown started to fad Carlisle began to strengthen. It was definitely the passing of the torch. I been to many Mopar shows (US & Canada). They all have their unique feel and have their good years and their bad.

I was at the Ohio show in 2004 and heard the same song I'm hearing here...That Carlisle was better, cleaner, more organized, better toilets, etc.
Imagine that it is YOUR first time to one of these major shows....

......you're enjoying yourself but frequently, you hear people complain. You want to see a complaint? How about that crusty GTX in the picture above? 1968, it looks like it had been submerged in a swamp since then and the hack seller wants $ 40 grand for a car that needed EVERYTHING....and this was 2004.

Who is that good looking young guy, and where did he go??
