Mr. 880

Another great Burt Lancaster film.

Mister 880 is a 1950 American romantic drama film directed by Edmund Goulding and starring Burt Lancaster, Dorothy McGuire and Edmund Gwenn. The movie is about an amateurish counterfeiter who counterfeits only one dollar bills, and manages to elude the Secret Service for ten years. The film is based on the true story of Emerich Juettner, known by the alias Edward Mueller, an elderly man who counterfeited just enough money to survive, was careful where and when he spent it.

It was Janet Leigh night on TCM.

Caught the tail end of Bye Bye Birdie, which I had never seen.
A young Ann-Margret was smokin' HAWT.
At least two Janet Bra scenes. NICE.

Then Psycho.
I've never seen it all the way through, especially the beginning and the end.
Fair amount of Janet in vintage underwear in the first 30 min.

I prefer her daughter; JLC.

I was on set for that movie when they were on location, I think it was the Dodger's stadium parking lot. My brother was an extra and sometimes you can just show up and get picked as an extra, I think they called it "on call" so I figured I had no plans that night and its money. They ended up not needing me but while I waited on the decision Dice was walking around, it seemed mainly to talk to the girl extras, and he was telling s couple how he just heard on the news there was a huge earthquake in SF.
So that was a weird way for me to get that news.

Janet Leigh is one of my favorites.

I watched " The Fast and the Furious" last night on You Tube. Original 1955 version, starting John Ireland and Dorothy Malone. Lots of early sports cars in it; various Jaguars, Triumph TR2, Allards, Porches, and Nash-Healy. Nash police cars.

I didn't know there was an original. I'll check it out.
