Any idea where this goes on my 72RR? I found it laying on my garage floor under my rocker panel near from my driver door, a little toward the rear wheel. It's 1.5 inches by 1/16th inch. It's paper/felt or maybe 53-year-old rubber. It snapped in half without much pressure when I was looking at it. I'm not too worried about replacing it. But just curious where it may have come from. Thanks

I wonder if it was at the seat belt anchor point inside the car??

Bucket seat pivot between the bottom cover and the arm from the seat back, keeps it from wearing a hole in the vinyl.

Thanks R413. You lost me a little. What is the arm from the seat back?

That's possible. But the washer was intact when I found it. If it was "broken" in half when I found it, I'd figure it could have come from anywhere. I did figure it had a large bolt going through it, which made it very strange.

First thing I thought of was a window crank washer. Of course assuming a 72 RR would have something between the window crank and the door panel. I have no idea, never worked on one. Just a guess.

Thanks 69. That's exactly what I thought it was at first. But it couldn't fall out without the window crank being off also and it's snug and secure.

Just maybe it never came from your car.

It definitely came from my car somewhere. I thought it might have been some random washer/gasket from a tool or old part or something like that. But I'd have noticed it before, and it was so brittle, that I'm certain it's very, very old. As in made in 1972 old

I can just tell it's from my car. It's the only car that's ever in that garage and there's really nothing else it could possibly be from. I know what OEM stuff from that car feels like/looks like and this is definitely that.
