NAG1 in a 1976 b body

Just keep in mind the torque capability in stock form for a nag is not very high. Seems everyone went to the 8 speed ZF trans. The Nag was actually a ZF trans originally that Diamler stole from ZF.

There is a guy local to me that builds valve bodies for the NAG1 transmission and just with that mod high mileage units take a ton of hp. Dings Racing is his name.

I’m just wondering before I get one, that I don’t have to murder my floor pan lol

While I understand that a valve body rework can help, it’s still the ratings of the shafts, clutch packs and drums etc that I worry about..

The one I have came with the 425 HP, 2008 6.1 hemi.
I got a 2008 shifter to use with it, but I haven't decided what I am going to do for the computer.
The transmission looks sort of small and short, but I don't know if the width will be a problem as I haven't tried to do the swap yet.
I'm not too concerned about the transmission tunnel on the car I am swapping as the previous owner cut it to put a 4-speed in the car (originally 727 auto car.)
