What's it Worth 69 super bee at Hankster

Not exactly what I've been looking for, but it checks a lot of boxes. Consignment car at Hankster. What do the experts think?

Looks pretty. Take magnets, paint gauge, and a really bright flashlight if you go look at it.

Cheap but very effective tool for checking for filler/fiberglass.. Take one of those car show magnets ff your shop fridge & try it on any old car... If the filler is more than 1/8" the magnet will fall off... Steel with primer & paint it'll grab & hold pretty well...

This looks like some type of brace, not an H pipe.

A substitute for a prop shaft loop???

Yeah, that's a little odd....

Hard to tell, but some of the front suspension stuff is missing cotter pins and might not be installed correctly (at least in the aerospace world). Painted it all black too.

Headers look like they have been resprayed silver. There might be leaks at the collectors, but many people say headers leak.

There might be some silver overspray above the headers onto the transmission / dipstick tube.

One tailpipe is really close to gas tank. Might rattle up against it.

Transmission case and pan have been powdercoated?

I've never had a big block auto trans car. Is the entire sheet metal dust cover removable to access the torque converter drain plug?

Traction bars. I don't like traction bars.

Wiring/block at battery terminal post. There has to be a better way?

Manual steering and that's ok by me.

Drum brakes as already noted earlier.

Early SPD

Looks like they want it to look nice cosmetically, but then fell short on painting the fender tag.

No mention of a broadcast sheet.

No mention or picture of partial VIN on trunk gutter.

Interior looks ok, but looks older (not crisp and taught) to me. Carpet looks old and maybe slightly lightened from sun/age. Hard to tell in the pictures.

Need to hear/see more on past history of the car. Would need to talk to the owner too.

Might be a nice car, but I wouldn't pay $54,900 for one with an automatic.

There is a switch to turn on/off the reverse lights?

On start up the engine is shaking pretty good, might be an indication the motor mounts are shot.

That's a bucket list color on that car for me.

I just did that refrigerator magnet test on a car I looked at a couple months ago.
It would not stick where the "383" emblems had been removed from the otherwise solid fenders.
The work looked good, but the magnet did not lie.

Thanks for the replies. If I get time at lunch today I'm going to call about it. I like the EFI, but the drum brakes always hold me back. Appreciate the feedback.

That's the markup these dealers/consignment sellers put on these cars. They probably paid 35k for the car, which is about the right number for the car.
