What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

Try some coffee grounds.

Got the tires for the trailer mounted on the wheels yesterday and installed them on the trailer this morning.....done at about 10 and totally wet with sweat. Temp is 80 with no breeze. At least one side was in the shade and isn't 95!

Tile.

Started the rental shower stall. Individual subway tiles.

Starting to look like something.....

15 minutes away from me.
The greenish brown hue gave it away.
We use to camp up there for years but it got so crazy with boats and jet skis and over developed that we stopped going around 2002. We have been going to Raystown Lake ever since which is not as busy also clean and clear to go swimming... We only go there once a year now and spend the weekend with family.

Bought tickets to Michal Schenker "My Days With UFO" tour.

No idea he was touring.
1500 cap venue I've never been to before.

He's on my "bucket list" of guitarists I want to see live.
Heard ONE radio ad for it and they played "Rock You Like A Hurricane" in the background.

For a while, I had his trademark black and white flying V as my FBBO avatar.

Schenker was briefly in Scorpions (with his love/hate brother, Rudolph), but circa 72-74 and again in 1979 including LoveDrive ("Loving You Sunday Morning"), and NOT on the "Love At First Sting" album in 1984.

I've never heard any UFO or MSG material on the radio, despite a ton of those songs sounding like they were written specifically for that, and IMO would have done well, especially in the 80's.

UFO-
Rock Bottom (totally BAD ***)
Doctor, Doctor
Lights Out
Too Hot To Handle

MSG-
Are You Ready To Rock
Attack Of The Mad Axe Man (also totally BAD ***)
On And On
Into The Arena (bad *** instrumental)
Captain Nemo (another bad *** instrumental)

There's more.

Friday night.
The show in the next closest city sold out already, and they've announced additional dates next year due to sell outs and demand.

Met with my attorney to discuss entry into the old folks home when the time comes, looking at about three years out. She showed me how to save enough to buy another Mopar. Catch is, I won't have space to store one there.

Installed the spare tire on the new/used 'snow flake' wheel for the Colorado on the RF yesterday evening and put the RF tire on the left rear this morning. The tire that was on the LR has a slow leak due to a screw in it. If it still had the screw driver slot in it, I would have unscrewed it and fill the threads with silicon and let it sit for a bit then aired it up. Done that lots of times over the years. Anyways, the Colorado has a new set of fairly new tires on it and 3 of them have had stuff picked up off the roads. One stranded 'her' and hat to call road side service a couple of weeks ago. That tire had a bolt go into it head first. Discount Tire wouldn't fix it so went to one of those 'off brand' stores that's all over the place and they booted it. So far so good. The truck has two spares now since imo, she needs 2!!!

Checked the Hummingbird feeders. We have 10 out this year. They've been busy. Even some bee's are showing up to chow down.

Wandered around in the sun at Cars & Coffee, but I don't drink coffee. Took the Mrs to Kroger. Searched for fireant mounds and then poisoned them.

Got windows and exterior siding installed on another 8x16 mobile office trailer my work partner and I are building.
The major vendors want 25-30K for these things, and that's usually for a used one...I guess they'd rather rent them out. We build them from the ground up. Heavier duty from-scratch trailer and substrate, stair platforms, transformers and receptacles for 208, 240 or 480 volt supplies, nicer inside finishes and all for less than 15K.
We did one for ourselves and then word got out....the catch is we do it strictly for friends/colleagues/fun and a little side cash so we take our time...
