Received build card for my 1966 for FCA/Stellantis.
Shipping order does not match stamped numbers on radiator support.
Should any stamping on the body match numbers on the IBM build card?
Fender Tag Missing
VIN attached with sheet metal screws.

Incorrect screws on the Vin tag, they should be rosette rivets. Yes possible Vin swap from another car. Do you have the fender tag and the build sheet? Does your car match everything else on the IBM card?

If you haven't registered the car those sheet metal screws if they look at them could be a problem. Get the proper rivets.

Tho SO number on the rad support should match the SO number on the IBM card. Check the rear body code to see if it matches the front. If it does then the IBM card and the VIN tag do not belong to your car

Thanks for actually reading my post!
Where do I find the rear body code?
Your help is much appreciated. Ben

SO number is not going to match the VIN #
True, but not what I asked. Front body stamp does not match IBM card, problem?

In original post, I said Fender tag missing. I also said body stamp does not match IBM card for order number. There is no build sheet in seats or dash. Seats are recovered. Car is repainted black, should be saddle bronze. Interior is tan, which matches IBM card.

I titled and registered the car. Trying to compare body stamp to IBM card to see if I registered a VIN swap car. By card, scheduled production date is 4/12, by stamp 6/15. Order numbers are different too.

The rear body code is on the rear crossmember, usually between the two bumper brackets. If it is rusty in that area you might not be able to see it. If you can't find it, then the rad support is all you have. If it looks factory original then I would have to say, VIN swap.

My 67 Satellite that I'm currently restoring, the SO# is on the core support and the rear cross member just to the left of the left rear bumper bracket. They should match the order # on the IBM card.

What about the obvious options on the car?

Do they match the fender tag or the IBM card.....or both?

YY1 bronze with a tan/bronze interior?

I'd bet most folks that would swap a VIN on a car like that wouldn't bother to find a WL21 car to do it with.
...but that's just speculation.

SO number on card is- 4120802

Stamp on core support is awfully long ending in- 2509046

I understand on a 66 they may even be on the rear cross member under the rear bumper reinforcement mounts.

Agreed

The rear number on mine is under the pass side rear bumper bracket. Cant be seen unless R+R the bracket
The ft one is drivers side of the radiator support , facing the radiator itself and hard to read

Nothing on the body matches a Vin tag on 67 and down

You need either the build sheet or the IBM card to tie the two together

Numbers under trunk weatherstrip is 1968 and later

Depends on how hard it is / was to get a title for a car that doesnt have one. When a parts car is close. It takes is about 5 minutes and you're done

And like said . Only the IBM card or build sheet tie the vin to a particular body. Without them no one would ever know
