Mopower Mania is less than 2 weeks away. If you have been to this event you need to go. Summit Motorsports Park
4 days for those of us who have served our time in the work force. Or for those with vacation saved up. Biggest gathering of Mopar race cars anywhere. Not to mention fireworks, car show swap meet. We will be ther all 4 days. Stop by and say hi.
Doug

I'll be there. I always try to make this one, but I wish the swap area was a bit bigger. Hope to run in to you, Doug.

A carload of us used to make the 5 hour journey every year to Norwalk to watch the Mopar weekend. We loved seeing all the early B-bodies. Although the swap meet was relatively small, the drag racing was great. It was great to wander the pit area and talk to some of the racers and take pictures. My buddy, Ross, raced there, until his Belvedere did a hard right turn into the wall. I used to like the $1.00 tub of ice cream, too! Since I did not renew my passport, I will be missing all the U.S. shows, in the future.

Well, the dollar ice cream is no more. The new management put the kabosh on that.

From what I’ve heard you can still get a good deal on ice cream.
I’ve only ever heard good things about that track.

I was there that day. Met Ross back when his Belvedere had small block. Too bad about the crash. It was a very, very nice car. And a 8 second Hemi car to boot.

Hi Doug;
Ross healed up well, and has another very nice '67 Belvedere with a 273, automatic. He's currently doing up a stroker 360 for it, but I am sure his serious racing days are over.

We were there for the last stop on Power Tour.
Fantastic venue.

What's up with the giant horn speakers everywhere cranked up to a billion decibels?

I’ll be there Doug as well as a bunch of us from our crew. I bought a motorhome today and my dad is going to use it to tow his roadrunner out Thursday evening and I won’t make it till Friday evening but none the less. Will still be a good weekend.

I have your rocker arms. And we will have a beer together this year.

Always the best Mopar race of the season. I really enjoy the hour drive through the countryside and farm roads. Some of the coolest early B-bodies on the planet will be there.
I'll be cruising the pits in my Savoy to see old friends.
See you guys there.

Are you going to race?

Look me up while there. I think we have a mutual friend that wants me to say hey.

Not this year I'm just cruising around. I'll be camping along the fence row north of the trees on the spectator side.
