I Had To Get It

1,155 made, 1 convertible was made by PAS, and iirc 1 in black, may have been maroon.

Door/windshield decals came in the black TTA kit box, along with a Keychain, not the one in the video, a cassette tape, and ppwk.

Could also get decal kit in a GM cardboard box with the blue GM print. Most came with nothing else on them but the part #. I have one with a vin, plate #, dealer name, and owner's name on it, very odd.

Rear bird emblem should be white, looks like there is a cover over it, maybe.

PAS sticker should be on the driver door, and all body panels had a vin sticker, like any GM of that era.

PAS sticker should be on rad support, blue fuel sticker inside fuel door. They came on one sticker strip, I think I still have one.

Specific 20th plug wires and exhaust tips.

There is a 20th Anniversary sticker on the a/c line near the intercooler. I've only seen it on a few.

TTA 3.8 had Pontiac heads.

TTAs had grey valve stem caps.

Blah blah blah, I could go on and bore everyone.

I had one for 20 years, sold it recently and bought 3 Mopars.

Stupid fast in stock form, I ran a 13.1 out of the box completely stock on a hot summer day.
Even with the 4 wheel disc, it was difficult to bring down to a safe speed.
Modified mine over the years and made it stupider fast.

I have an actual window sticker, not from mine, maybe it's from yours?

Also have the box, press kit, other TTA and 89 Indy stuff.

Fantastic cars, congratulations!

Check out my old plate.

What’s a PAS sticker? You are correct. Rear bird emblem doesn’t appear white. Hmmm

What’s a PAS sticker?
It's the PAS build sticker, it is next to the vin sticker on the edge of the driver door.

Below is mine.

Correction, the hood decal, not the rad decal.

Fuel door decal.

And the a/c decal, has 20th Anniversary on it. Can't fake that one, at least it hasn't been done yet because no one seems to know about it.

Door/windshield decals were dealer installed. Some installed, some not, some used the decals from the black box, some ordered new ones and put those on, some kept the boxes.

Mine looks to have all that. Pretty sure it’s not a fake if that’s what you are implying. Car #233 production build running the numbers.

No way suggesting it's a fake. Just a few indicators to determine if it's been messed with or damaged, etc.

There is a list of these cars that has the production #. Were not in vin sequence, same as Mopar!

Mine was #897.

Some of you may have been following some of my threads and know I am looking to purchase another collector vehicle. I was focusing my search on a 64 Sport Fury or a 67 Charger. Well I ran across this and after a little research, I had to have it. No haters please, at least it’s not a Ford.

Nice. Good choice. Congratulations.

Funny how this is a pretty much a GNX, but even better handling and performance.

BUT a GNX would be $100K+ ? in the same condition of this $40K 'Bird? Is that right?

My friend bought one of those about 15 years ago. If memory is right he put it in storage. I was a really low mile example.

TTA, the hat trick or trifecta of musclecars.
Couldn't get one without the other two.

Turbo V6, 20th Anniversary, Official Pace Car.

The GNX is much more rare
The GNX yes, but the GNs and T Types not so much.
Most people haven't even heard of a TTA.
That’s the whole point.
They made 20K 1987 grand nationals, and they are about worth the same as a TTA.
They made 1050 TTA’s in 1989 only. A #1 Concourse TTA car is hagarty valued at $73k which is what #4 GNX is valued at. You can get a concourse TTA for the price of a shitty GNX and it will out perform and out handle the GNX. Plus, in my opinion, it looks better. Especially the interior.

Most people haven't heard of, nor seen, a
1979 Chrysler 300.
