I just had the Turbo Trans Am that I bought last week ceramic coated today. I highly recommend. The car was clay barred than cut and polished first. Ceramic also went on wheels, tires, glass, and interior. I had no idea it could be used in so many places. The Detailer told me I could spill a cup of coffee inside and it would just vacuum up. He said I don’t have to worry about shining the tires again either. Water just runs off everything and doesn’t dry to anything. Here are a couple of pictures. Pretty nice for 36 year old original paint. I will post a video later.

Thanks for sharing. Looks good.
I personally am more interested in your garage details and comments. :popcorn2:

Care to share any information about cost. Ballpark. Not trying to be nosey, am thinking about getting my Challenger done. Can you get just the exterior by itself.

Re garage:
Is it insulated?
I assume it has a snow load rating? Being in Florida my interest is more wind load rating.
Was it DIY or was it installed?
What dimensions?
It has 3 rollup doors?
If you had it to do all over, what would you do differently, if anything?

Thanks

Dealer put a ceramic on wife’s new car. It’s dark blue and collects noticable dust here in the desert just from sitting.

But the dirt/dust just seems to fall off from driving. When it gets wet the water beads and runs off like nothing I’ve seen before.

I love my ceramic coat. 15 year old respray barred, cut, buffed and coated Note the mustang reflection at a show

I use the Avalon kits and do it myself. Painful as it's about 8 hours start to finish, but the results are great.

Most shops around here are $800 for the basic coating and about $1100 with paint correction.

It’s a Carolina carport. Insulated. 2 doors. 18x25. Wind rated and snow rated. I forget the wind rating but it’s hurricane strength. We have hurricanes here in Virginia too. Free delivery and installation. They have local dealers that do all the work. Here is their website. My local dealer had their own website where you could design online exactly what you wanted and it priced it out. When you are done designing you give them %10, and they schedule install. You pay balance on installation. I am very pleased with the garage. So pleased I had them come build another one. My big garage ended up being around $12k for the building. But you can get them cheaper by eliminating a lot of things I added, like 16’ roof, upgraded steel, lots of windows, etc.

Here is the website I bought the building from with the building designer so you can play around with it.

I'll second Carolina Carports.

My 30x26 has outlasted it's 10/20 year estimated life span with no real signs of degradation other than a small rust hole on the bottom of one door brace.

Mine is 120 MPH certified with almost all of the 140 MPH upgrades (was cheaper to add separate than pay the 140 price).
It has been through at least 4 hurricanes with no damage.

I added a foot to the standard height, and wish I'd added another.
I spec'd 10' wide doors and I'm glad I did. I can get my 42" riding mower into the middle without pulling a car out, plus you can start a turn before you get in or come all the way out.
Real useful if space just outside the doors is tight.

My main regret is not pouring a slab.
Thinking about putting up a 3-4 block knee wall and setting it back down on that while getting a slab.

My wife had her one year old Mini Cooper convertible ceramic coated in November 2024, just the outside. It cost $1000 plus $200 for swirl mark paint repair prep. It's been 11 months now and I am very impressed with the shine and durability - and it sits outside here in sunny/salty SC all the time.

Liking the GTechniq Ceramic. Did not like the ArtDeShine Graphine. Stay with Ceramic.

We used Sigma Kore for my wife's Mini. They HAD 3 or 4 locations including here in Myrtle Beach. Unfortunately, there must be business problems as the MB location is now closed up with no warning. I am attempting to get them to honor the 6 year warranty with that includes annual inspections and touch ups. Not a happy camper at the moment.
