Hi,
I’m getting close to ordering a new Dana 60 for my 70 RR. I see a lot of positive comments about Dr. Diff.
What advantage if any is there from ordering from them vs. just ordering an S60 directly from Strange?
All opinions appreciated.
Thanks,
Dennis.

Customer service is best.
Cass is great to deal with.
I’ve ordered both Dana 60 and S60 from him as well as spring relocation kit.
I think his pricing is competitive.
He is a Strange dealer so the S60 gets drop shipped from Strange.

I have bought 2 S60's from Cass and they were actually a bit cheaper from him than going directly through Strange.

Dr Diff is at the other end of the phone. Reasonable prices, quality products, and great customer service. Cass is tops!

Actually not at the other end of the phone ever since Covid. He made the decision to abort the telephone and primarily communicate by email. He has texted me at times though as well.

That’s too bad. I was hoping to talk to him on the phone but I guess it’s not a deal breaker if I’m forced to use email.
I need to figure out bearing and brake options.

Maybe e-mail him and tell him you would prefer to talk on the phone and schedule a time. I'm sure he's probably a pretty busy guy.

That might work. I bet a big part of his day can get tied up on the phone in lengthy conversations like some of our threads get. If you follow me.

I swear some customers blab so much about BS that it must be their entire goal in life to make any kind transaction between you two virtually impossible.

Email ftw.

Cass himself can talk your ear off too. Years ago, I remember being on the phone with him and thinking Doesn't this dude have other stuff to deal with other than me?
Very few vendors are like him. Most are helpful but not willing to spend much time chatting.

We bought a S60 on Black Friday during Strange’s 10% off sale with free shipping around 2019. We went through Cass, saved even more, best decision. It was bought for my friend’s Charger. He got the STrac, with 3.55 gears, and shortened. If you’re not in a hurry, wait for a Black Friday sale, I heard they might be having one.

Thanks for all the replies. I will email him this week. Email isn’t all bad, definitely less room for error if it’s written down. I relocated my springs under the frame rails. I need a complete setup. Can’t use any of my old stuff.
I will update as I work through the process.

Well, I’ve had good and bad experiences with Cass. In days of old hands down I would say to use him. You used to be able to pick up the phone and talk to him, not any more. Perhaps he’s too busy now who knows. I find that with ‘email only’ communication many things can get list in translation and solving problems can go sideways. After sales service is not what it used to be. I did have an issue with some brake parts a while back and in the end all he did was refund money to me in order to wipe his hands clean of the issue and move on. I wasn’t asking for money back, I was asking help. Oh well.

For you I’d probably buy based on price and shipping rates. As others said if it’s a strange product it just drop ships from strange anyway. Cass just gets a cut for taking the order.

Generally speaking I like the selection of products doctor diff provides, pricing is competitive, shipping is sometimes a bit of a premium from them to me and most often I prefer to utilize a business where it’s just not another big corporate wheel as you know where the money is going. I just wish he’d revert to a little more hands on customer service. Maybe it’s time to hire someone else and free up his time to get back to grass roots.

Fyi, generally, shipping from that part of the country to the NE can take forever.
Nothing to do with the Dr.

If you own a business and can't pick up the phone and talk to a customer than I'm sorry but that sucks. Going back and forth through emails is a big waste of time. I'll ask several questions and only get one response to them. Then you have to go back and email again and again and again. Answer the F-ing phone!

I agree with that. I liked it better when you could talk to him.
