My new to me 64 Polara

yeah i use lithium a lot... I haven't taken my wheel off, don't wanna touch **** that works :)
I'm with you there. I took the fresh air hose off the heater fan housing and blew in there to dis-lodge some leaves in there making a racket. As soon as I put it back together, I started it up and it immediately poured antifreeze onto the drivers floor. I should have left it alone. :mob: :mob:

ugh... my water valve leaks on mine.. but only when i have it on heat... soo.. i don't use heat unless it's really cold :) don't wanna touch it..

I don't know how my chrome horn stuff comes off the wheel (haven't really looked much) but looks like someone tried to pry it off and broke the back side of it at some point :( don't really notice.. but bugs me

Those horn rings can be tricky. Mine comes off with a screw on each side.

Well ****... mine doesn't have the ring around the bottom... so.. bet some kid leaned on it and broke it off.. OR.. i know the car was hit once, drive might have hit it and snapped it..

I kinda like mine better without the bottom ring

Too bad no one makes a replacement heater assembly with a normal core and blower. Or an A/C kit. Some crafty fellow could design a mode switch to replace the vacuum operated pushbuttons and just use the buttons and faceplate to actuate.

yeah, they make rebuild kits for the valve but i would rather not if i don't have to. I'm not sure if 64 uses the same setup..
