What does the spring do?

The spring attaches to the lower collar (housing), on the steering column, which has the finger lever that you depress to remove your key. The spring rotates the collar back to it's original position when you release the lever. You can buy the three floor shift reproduction collars to replace your column shift collars, but you couldn't buy the much needed spring. Until now!
