One of the "touch buttons" on either side of the display screen might mute the audio.

Around here the second button from the top right will mute or cancel that unwanted noise.

Luckily they have very few of them around here, and I avoid them. I mostly run into them on road trips out of state and have found
"mute" on some, but not all. It's still incredibly annoying!

If they do it like youtube, you could pay a monthly subscription to remove the ads!
I just stop watching youtube when they get uppity and try to shut down my ad blocker. Not an option for a car, but I don't have to buy one in the first place in that case.

They will get theirs from you anyway they can. Whether it’s commercials or subscription fees. Me ill listen to their stupid commercials and laugh they squeezing my pocket book.

The noise of the adds, makes it hard for me to listen as the tank gets close to full. So I often make a small puddle.

I try that every time it starts blasting the b.s., over half of them here in michigan that doesn't work, thinking of picking up some of that thick duct tape.

They are also selling cars now that require subscriptions to run certain features that were free when you bought the car but expire one year after purchase. Remote start, nav maps to name a couple. They are also phasing outa apple and google play so you can’t use your phone to access free things they want to sell you like google maps.

The 22 Chevy Colorado I inherited when I got married still has the remote start feature....

especially most legacy Alphabet (literally) media news

or most advertising now too

remember the day alcohol, tobacco & lawyers, or pushing some Rx drug
couldn't advertise on TV
now it's almost all you see (except for Tobacco)

other then,
erectile disfunction pills, or some bladder control diapers
some other BS Rx you need a Dr's prescription for
(why they hell would we need, to see that **** ?)
or the ambulance chasing lawyers, going after the trucking co.s, getting huge $$$
(& we wonder why insurance is so expensive)
or feminine hygiene

used to be you couldn't false advertise, punishable by federal law
they specialize in it now
