I've been to Carlisle a couple times in the past, never with an entry. Does an entry need to be perfect condition? Is there a survivor driver class? Might get down there this year!

Only requirement is it needs to drive on to the field under its own power. Many folks show up with total beaters to get the better parking. Modern day rental car will do the trick as well, so long as it's a Mopar.
U-Haul rejected my rental to haul my 64 fury. Much smaller than your Charger. WTF
Carlisle has a discount for the Show Field. I don't know how much the fee is this year.
There is a survivor tent. Has to be approved.
Be sure to use FBBO Club when you register.

I usually drove my '67 R/T down to Carlisle, and entered it on the fun field. To my surprise, it got a Second in Class trophy a couple of times. Bonus! Other times, I drove my 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport Club Cab pickup down, and entered it in the Truck class on the fun field, to have a handy place to bring purchases from the swap meet back to. It was a good looking truck in bright Red, like a lot of Ram trucks were back then. It had those great looking optional 3-spoke aluminium rims, and I lowered it, and added a hard tonneau cover.

1st & the Last time I went, was I believe the 1st year it was at Carlisle 1991 (?)
Some lady/hostess in a local burger joint told US about it,
I didn't even know it was going on...
I had my 69 RR racecar RM21 style 2,650#s with me in it, (I'm or was 250#)
an 'all fiberglass body' (US Body Source)
grump lump scoop, dbl frame-rail car, full cage, tube chassis car
Dana-60 15x33", Jeffco 5 speed trans :blah:
Lots of polished alum interior, I had a lot of looky-loos'/most were clueless
it was 'even fiberglass body'...
Clueless people saying; this & that was wrong or not right or not stock :jackoff:
Car/RR was in a 'Ultra Flat Black' paint at the time...
(I don't know if there was even a class for it)
Paint wasn't the best, but fresh, but the car was a quality build,
513cid wedge engine/lots of N2O/3 Top Gun kits hi-7 sec. car, single 1,400cfm Dominator
(basically best of the DC catalog build) & had the best of parts, for the time...

IIRC just in a faraway back parking lot somewhere,
probably because the really long trailer/truck & w/no prize or entry to be had...
I was back there already, in my 2 car Featherlight 43' 3 axle trailer,
figured I'd check it out, & "what a hassle it was", 1st the parking deal,
& had paid thru the nose too, had 3 of my crew guys with me...
but;
I was back there, match racing one of my Altereds, the prior weekend,
the Orange w/white stripes car, with light blue pinstriping, 23t IIRC at Englishtown,
7.90 S/E NHRA car & Altered match races 6.90s/190 best, run what ya' brung deal
it had a Blown/Enderle inj./Methanol 526cid de-stroked Mastodon Hemi at the time,
so I was in my rig...

I rolled both them out for shits & giggles, didn't know hardly anyone at the show at all...
A few people tooks photos... I'd really like to have some copies...

I walked around, I stopped at a few venders, I was given the cold shoulder pretty much...
I told my guys it was a waste of time, but had to see it...

I haven't been back since, hot sweaty muggy, most miserable & humid place,
I think I've ever been, even for the eastern coast states...
&
It rained IIRC too, muddy mess made the humidity even worse,
if you can even do that...

Maybe after dad's gone, I could & I may attempt to do another,
probably without a/my car...
That's way, way too far to tow to there, from here, for a car show/swap meet...
Maybe a MoPar rental car :poke:

take lots of photos guys

I would take a cue from @71RRHI, who schleps in from Hawaii, parks on the field with a rental Mopar, and joins us at the tent. All the negatives you described are valid. My two cents, it was awesome meeting the crowd from the west coast in person last year. If your circumstances permit in the future, you would be more than welcome, and think you would enjoy meeting us face to face.

That was me giving you the cold shoulder! Knee deep in mud, rain, humidity, and sweating like hell from climbing those hills like a billy goat. Those are normal conditions. Sorry I was cranky that day.

After attending the Mopar Nationals at Columbus for a number of years, our travelling band of Mopars decided to try the Chrylers at Carlisle, instead. The trip was twice as far to get there, and there was no close 1/4 mile drag strip, but we went anyway. We were amazed at the level of organization, and quality of cars displayed. The amount and variety of the parts available in the swap meet was great. If you got hot and needed a break, there was always the grandstand and food court. I only went back to the Nationals once, after they returned from Indy, and it was the unorganized mess it had been, although the racing was great.
My last time I was at Carlisle was just before the Pandemic, where I sold my 1964 Polara 500 convertible. I will be 79 this summer, and recognize that I no longer have the stamina to make the trip worthwhile. Also, no new projects needing parts. The comments on hot, humid weather there are well earned. One year we were their, a vendor was trying to sell some old plastic promo models. It was so hot, the roofs were melting and caving in! At that point, we decided we had had enough for the day, and headed back to our motel rooms and cold beer.

Thanks for the kind words Adam. The main reason I started to register the rental car was to add to the FBBO count. By the way my wife is looking forward to talking story with you again this year.
@Budnicks I recommend you give Carlisle another chance. The show is well organized, the fairgrounds and the bathrooms are kept very clean all weekend. Loads of swap meet vendors, more mopars than you can see. There is the kick off party on Thursday, and this year there is supposed to be a after hours cruise on Saturday.
But there best part is, meeting up with all our fellow FBBO members at the tent on Saturday
Definitely the highlight of the weekend.
