WTB WTB YOKE FOR 489 CASE 8 3/4" REAR END 7260 SMALL

I should have spares also. I have a box full of original and new bolts and caps.

Question about yoke for 8 3/4" 489 case rear end.

Its a crap shoot. Believe most of the original were 10 spline and the aftermarket were typically 29 spline in my experience. But you need to check to know for sure.

    Alternator suggestions. 165 Amp?

I can't disagree. However, I can see some that could pull over 90 but that is why each application needs to be looked at individually. When I was young and naive, I put a 55 amp mini alternator on my car. Hey - original was only 35 amp, so good to go. Nope, I had a killer fan on the car that...

    Bent Pushrods-Trickflow 240 Heads

I checked the data logger on the race car. I only have 3 real runs on this motor so far. Max oil pressure never exceeded 72 psi and that was at 7800 rpm.

Old rule of thumb is 10 psi per 1000 rpm. 55 psi at 5500 rpm is fine. I need to look at the last runs, but pretty sure that my 1060hp drag motor built by Tony Bischoff (about as good as they come engine builder) never gets past 70 psi even close to 8000 rpm. Tony says that is good.

No - I do not use high volume pumps unless the flow is too low. Having to bypass the additional oil is detrimental, especially if you don't need it. Don Scinto convinced me of that back in the 80's.

I missed the hyd roller part. Bad things can happen on big block mopars with hyd rollers. DAMHIK. What I learned is that they are very heavy and do not like rpm! I ran into trouble with mine at 6000 rpm (it was still pulling like crazy at 6000 rpm). My valve train went crazy around 6000 rpm...

Bolts for Crankshaft to Flexplate 383 Auto - 70 Charger

Are you talking flexplate to crank? For those, I am pretty sure I use ARP 200-2903. They are 0.500" long. For the flexplate to converter, sometimes I used the same but in the converters I have now I used 200-2902 which is 0.680" long. But I recently added spacers for better pump engagement...

    Alternator suggestions. 165 Amp?

Talked to Powermaster at PRI today. Of all the alternator vendors I talked to at PRI they were the only ones that refused to provide an output curve. They said we give you idle amps, cruising and top speed (or something like that) amps. I said need to know rpm vs amps. They shrugged their...

Flexplate to Crank Bolts - 70 383 HP

It's a myth. I take the bolts off all the time with the red loctite on the converter bolts. Never a single issue getting them off.
