Ok guys, a clear vote so far not to drive the car just for fun with no PS support. Thank you.
One thing I obviously did not make clear is the following: I have no need to plug any hoses as the pump is still in place, just without the belt. The fluid level is unter the shaft, so I reckon there...
I am having a problem with my 69 small block (318, no AC) b body that originally has a Saginaw PS pump and seemingly original steering gear.
The pump leaks like hell from the shaft so I cannot go anywhere with the pump working. I have ordered a rebuild kit, but it will take around 2 weeks...
Thanks for your kind words, I try to figure out as much as possible by myself. Apparently I found the things that did not work but the missing piece of the puzzle for a newbie like me is hard to find without "a little help from my friends".
Hello again, I cannot thank you enough for your help.
The black acc. wire had slipped out of the ignition switch and was dangling around freely...
After putting it back in accordance to the FSM plan everything is in working order again!
That is the reason why I love this community - it empowers...
Hello guys I am lost with an electric problem of my 69 Satellite I cannot get around.
It all started some days ago when I was driving along and realized that my aftermarket tach was not showing any rpm.
Then I saw that the dash lightning was out.
When I got home I realized that the following...
Many thanks for all the input fellows, I am very glad to get your fast and wise responses.
As stated above, I will inspect the studs and then decide if taking off the extension to "do it right" is worth the risk of snapping those studs. As the car is painted black, a sealer will hopefully not...
Thanks for the advice.
I will check, whether the studs will be stable enough for a removal/ reinstallation procedure of the gasket, after all I do not want to ruin more then I fixed...
This should be it! Thank you very much.
So the extension must be taken off and the gasket installed.
On the other hand - would it be feasible to put the black caulk that is mentioned when following your link into the gap?
Sounds like a new project for me :-)!
Hello there, I have an issue with the sealing of my trunk/ rear lights on my 69 Satellite.
The tail meets the rear quarter and there is a gap between the two parts (as seen in the photo). Right now, rain would run directly to the taillights.
Question: how should this gap be properly sealed...
Hi jimt1971rr thank you for the hint! Strangely I did not find the Facebook page of the Hale car show before, but now I got it. Maybe they can give me some Info on the cars of 2013...
Cheers!
As I mentioned above there are AL posts #422 in several states. I contacted the guy, who was organizing the "5th Annual Classics In The Park Car Show" in Mt Pleasant in 2013. He could not remember, whether there was any AL legion post involved as they do not keep records about that. I was just...
I am looking for the history of my 1969 Plymouth Satellite before it crossed the Atlantic.
The VIN ist RH23F9A110785. Original a T3 Honey Bronze with black hardtop, 318 2bbl, 904, 8 ¾ rear end 3 speed automatic.
It is now black with a roadrunner hood. The hood should be a „European“ addon. I...
