My 69 Super Bee has manual drum brakes all the way around. I'm considering replacing everything and going with a conversion to Wilwood Disc brakes all the way around. I'm curious if any of you have converted to Disc Brakes and if you feel it's worth it? Also, for anyone who has made the...
I appreciate everyone giving me ideas. Please keep them coming if anyone else has any thoughts on this topic. This might be a dumb question, but I'm wondering if anyone can clarify for me. Did 69 Super Bees have red line tires or white letter tires originally?
Thanks everyone! I appreciate the thoughts......I could keep the original wheel setup and just get new tires. The tire tread is fine, but the tires are about 10 years old on front and 20 years old in the rear. What do you guys think about replacing the tires with redline tires on those original...
I'm looking to get a custom set of wheels and new tires for my 69 Super Bee. I prefer a bit of a slight rake with larger, deeper wheels and tires in the back than the front. What is the best wheel/tire size combo with stock ride height? Thanks for any opinions/help.
You raised some very logical points in this reply. I think this is the best advice I've read yet. Thanks again for everyone's input. I think I'm just going to leave it as an automatic for now.
Thanks for the replies everyone. I appreciate your thoughts. How do you feel about changing a car that was originally an automatic to a 4 speed? Does it impact the value too much one way or the other since it isn't a numbers matching car?
I have a 69 Super Bee that was originally a 383 car but now has a 440. It still has an automatic TorqueFlite transmission. I'm considering swapping it over to a 4 speed. I would prefer to drive a 4 speed, but I'm a little hesitant to have the swap done because I don't want to negatively impact...
Most of the Super Bees I'm seeing are between $45-85k. I'm not necessarily looking for a "steal" of a deal, but I just want to get a nice car at a fair price.
Thanks for the tip! If all the numbers check out, what's a fair price for a nice car with a non-numbers matching 440 with good paint and interior......basically a turn-key non-numbers matching car ready to drive? Is it a huge problem if it isn't numbers matching on a mopar?
The 69 Super Bee has always been one of my favorite cars and has been a bucket list car of mine. I'm finally to the point financially where I can start to look for one, but I have a few questions. What is a fair price for a 69 Super Bee that is already done (not a project), without a numbers...
