I pulled the valve body yesterday. Nothing out of the ordinary in the pan. I cleaned the valve body and air tested the transmission. It took a couple of hits of air to get one of the clutches to actuate. I assume it was stuck from sitting. I got it all back together and it is over reving...

Every gear works but 3rd. Stock transmission with stock valve body and stock style converter. I am going to pull the valve body in the morning.

I have 2.94 gears so it isn't rapped tight. The torque converter and transmission where drained before I put it back in the car a month or so ago. The rattle is only under a heavy load at slower speeds.

Cleaned and magnifluxed 452 head from a 78. Engine was running great but I was rebuilding it. I had both heads magnifluxed and one went to the scrap bin. In Glenpool Oklahoma. 74033 50 plus the ride.

Talk to Dick and Firm Feel and see what he says. If you have the weight of your car it will help. So much can be done with stock style suspension. It all depends on how good at cornering you want the car to be.

I can't remember if mine was off by 1/4 or 1/2 an inch side to side. Once around the block and it settled perfectly.

Have you driven the car? Mine did not sit correctly until I drove it then everything was right on.

What coupler do you have from the steering shaft to the gear box?

I doubt you can go wrong or will be disappointed with either firm feel or borgeson. I switched from manual steering to a borgeson box. The box fit like it should, the coupler they make is a damn nice unit and comes with a good drill bit to drill the shaft with. It was a days work for me but I...
