This car is a beauty that I have loved owning. I wish I didn't have to let it go but I am a new dad and I don't have the time to enjoy it like it deserves to be anymore. It's time for another enthusiast to enjoy this classic muscle car. This car is a turn key car that fires right up to the...
You were dead on. I spliced the yellow positive wire from the console to the door jamb switch yellow wire, which I guess is grounded. Once I disconnected the 2 the fuse didn't blow out. Now I just need to figure out where to connect the yellow console wire for courtesy lights.
Thanks for the responses guys.
Shorthorse-I have done no tests so far. My instrument cluster lights and dome lamp were working before I wired the console. Infact, I'm also having an issue with getting the instrument cluster lights and radio light to turn off. I beleive the dash harness was...
Hello Mopar friends,
I need a bit of help. I just finished the wiring for my auto console on my 68 gtx. However, when I put the fuse in the lights came on for a second but the fuse blew immediately. Is this due to a bad voltage regulator? Mine looks pretty old. I attached a couple...
I was looking at a console frame from Vans. It is $225 there plus the ride but I have a $20 off coupon. I looked at year one with a 10 or 15% coupon and it was still going to be more I believe.
So I need a new tach harness for my 68 gtx standard dash. Will having a msd 6al ignition on my car have any affect on my tach or the rest of the instrument cluster working properly?
Also, wanted to know if anyone is familiar with Vans auto's reproduction parts? I was considering buying some...
I went to classic car liquidator with a friend last year who was interested in a few of their cars that looked pretty nice on their website. Well don't be fooled by their photos. I looked at their entire inventory and did not like what I saw. Almost every car I saw had rust, paint chips...
I'm looking at wiring diagrams on mymopar.com, specifically schematic A. Can anyone tell me what the dotted lines symbolize? For instance, the wires coming from the console connector are all dotted.
Also does anyone know how to remove wires from the fuse box? Or if it's even possible...
I'm working on a 68 gtx auto with console. My wiring diagram tells me to connect the console harness to the console wiring on instrument panel. I have looked under the dash but can't find anything to plug the console harness into. I guess I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Can anyone help...
That all makes sense. I recently made a couple changes to the wiring to get the tail lights and running lights working. That must be where I went wrong. Thanks a lot.
68 b body standard dash. I can not get the dash and radio light's to turn off. I had to disconnect the battery so the lights would turn off. Has anyone had the same issue or know of any solutions?
