It’s a basically stock engine with a lot of miles and I think compression is down a bit. I put in a limiting plate to reduce total timing and I run 92 pump gas.
Going to install the AFR gage soon as try to tune better this spring.
Not sure, I could hear it occasionally. I picked up an AFR gauge for better tuning this summer to hopefully use it with some timing adjustments solve the problem.

Finally purchased a borescope and this is what I saw. I assume this is due to detonation which I’ve been struggling with occasionally.

Definitely recommend sending it to Now and Then, they rebuilt mine and returned it within a few weeks. Very easy to ruin the diaphragm putting it back together.
Highly recommend to verify the pushrod length, mine was over 1/4” short!
Decided to measure the lift on the cam lobe and it’s junk. Only.140 of lobe lift left (by comparison #1 intake has.276).
Going to recommend moving on to a roller cam setup.
Looking down the hole and feeling it, the cam might be ok. Draining the oil tomorrow to see what I find. I did find the other small part of the clip but I’m sure a bunch of metal went through the system.
