    New carburetor prices are high.

Holley. Another company bought out by greedy NY private equity. Expect more price hikes and shittier products until they drive it into the ground, sell off assets, and leave the pensioners holding their wangs.

    Odometer skipped ahead

If the thousand wheel (or ten thousand) doesn't have the index locked up against the stop plate, could it/they be dragged along every time the hundred mile wheel rolls over? Seems plausible.

    Odometer skipped ahead

I haven't had one apart for a while but i believe this is what pnora is talking about. Those little legs need to be up against the stop.

Time to start putting it back together.... '67 Coronet

Accurate makes pretty authentic exhaust reproduction from what i've read. You can search their name here on the forum. https://www.accurateltd.com/1967-B-Body-440-Engine-Complete-System_p_208.html

    Door glass “felts” question

Topcat is a good brand for beltline whiskers. Bought a couple sets (Topcat) from herbsparts for 66/67 b bodies and both sides were felt type material. Not sure if the 68 would be different. You could give them a call and ask. Their prices are pretty good too. I'd pass on the PUI brand. The thing...

Are you guys familiar with the Hey Jackass website?

Hmmm, Chicago would be a nice & safe place if it weren't for a certain demographic.

FOR SALE Kickdown Linkage Parts For Automatic Transmissions. Many Years And Engine Sizes.

Hi, i'm looking for a lower linkage rod, swivel, and 727 lever for a 67 b body with console. You have a couple linkages that look similar. Any way you could send some better pics and rough measurments of the one circled in red? Second picture is the rod shape i'm looking for. Thanks

    ID the threshold

They might be correct for a 66/67 b body. On a 66 Coronet there's a galvanized metal plate that screws into the top of the rocker panel and then the sill plates mounts to it. I'm not sure if it's needed because i think most 67's didn't come with the mounting plate...

    Lower control arm bushing.

Jack it up under the k frame and pry up under the tires with a large bar. Listen for noise.

Some people sweat Slip Plate graphite lubricant is a good coating.

    Bottom seat trim.

Probably because they're mostly hidden on the inside by the console or buddy seat.

    Bottom seat trim.

I believe they're only on the outside of the seats.

Tell us about your automotive hard luck stories !

Worked in Portland when i was 19. Came home to the parents house for Christmas and had to be back at work on the 26th. Decided to drive back on Christmas day and bring my little brother along to see the "big city". Made it about 100 miles of the 350 and the lights started to get dim. Was getting...

    Lower Radiator Hose Spring

Don't mean to burst your bubble but while 304L is ok/good enough, there's no consensus it's the "best". I would never claim to know what's "best" but precipitation‑hardened stainless like 17‑7 PH would be better than 304L in my opinion. If you don't believe a spring is needed then you are...
