I have got a nasty water leak under the passenger side dash and I have yet to locate the exact point of entry on my 69 road runner. It should be easy for me to locate because I don't have a heater box or wipers installed. However, I have not located it yet. It is not coming from around the windshield. Any idea's?

If you don't have the wipers installed, it's going to come through there, or from where the heater core stick through the fire wall.

I;; second that.

I have both my wipers and heater box installed and I have a nasty leak as well. Only comes around when the car gets rained on. Haven't tried to track it down yet.

I was suspecting either windshield or cowl. But like I said, haven't looked into it yet.

probably the inner cowl is rotted leaves get caught in there water sits
if you remove the heater box reach into the vent hole and feel around there should be a 1"+ lip
if not water enters through the grate and runs down supposed to hit the lip and drain

Yup!! This could be the issue as well. Starting to become a pretty common problem now a days..
Not the easiest fix either....

Even with the wipers installed, it could be leaky wiper pivot seals.

Thanks for lead!

Get out the garden hose and start running water over the suspected areas then get your head in there and look for leaks.

Yep, i'd go with that plan, you could get someone else to blast it with the hose while your under there with a good light (battery powered for obvious reasons). You might not like what you find but it's gotta be done.

It turns out that the water is coming down the pillar post and making its way onto the right side of the lower dash and dripping down onto the carpet. I need a tighter door seal.

Gets my vote too!

Our 69 Sport Satellite had just that same problem, but more on the driver's side. Used to get drips on my sock while driving, leaving a nasty brown stain!

Cured it now tho by replacing the seals. Put it off for years but finally did a few months ago now the interior and some of the dash is removed - not a hard job, just easier the more access you have.

I have the same issue, pools right in the corner by the kick panel, i need a new drip rail molding on the drivers side. I cover it with couple of towels and a big piece of Vinyl and it stays dry at night, now that my car sits outside till i builds its shelter.

schumaker sells the seals. i had the same problem, pull out the wiper pivots and replace the seals and gasket. problem solved.
