I have large rear bumper I need chromed. I have the bumper at my place in southwest Florida. I am having a hell of a time finding a place that will chrome it. I do NOT want to spend $800, or $700, or even $600. I'd like to be $500 or under.
I can drop it off anywhere between south florida and green bay wisconsin as long as it doesn't take weeks upon weeks.

Can anybody help me out?

Not sure what year car you have but the general deal with outfits like Bumper Boyz, Tri City Chrome etc. is that you pay around $400 plus your old core for one already done. They may rechrome yours for around that I'm not sure.

I haven't been there myself yet, but a buddy of mine highly recommends them.

They're great to work with and do a really good job...Be prepared to talk with the man that runs the show there. Sounds just like Mickey Mouse. Took me about 4 minutes to figure out he wasn't Fu*king with me..

Ok cool. Thanks. I can call them tomorrow.

Shop in Brillion is 14 weeks out.

Shop in Florida is 10 weeks out.

One is $529
The other is $588 with nickel.

Just FYI in case anyone else is looking

Holy Smokes....Did you piss the guy off or something?? He quoted me $375 for the front bumper on my Roadrunner. My vent window frame's they did were pretty cheap and I had them back in 4 1/2 weeks..

Must of really picked up here in the past couple of weeks....

There is also "The Chrome Shop" in Metrasha.....I mean Menasha.

TRI CITY PLATING... In Elizabethton Tn........ ONLY DA BEST....!!!!!!!

Stay away from bumper boyz. Chrome plating is not a good place to take short cuts. Some remove old chrome by grinding it off.... others do not thourghly polish the surface to be plated.... wavey chrome. It's always best to go to a known reliable plater. I know..... I've replaced rechromed bumpers that were improperly prepped.

Tri-City will take care of you... And may even have an exchange ready to ship.

I agree seen tri citys' work Excellent! Bumper Boyz used to do a great job! not anymore though also too expensive!!

It is outta the way but I had mine done by Superior in Houston. They have done a lot of work for me and my brother in the past. I had mine triple plated and the fixed a couple of small dents. For my 70 GTX bumpers it was $400 for each the front and rear. My Camaro bumpers were a lot smaller and better shape and they were $275. The numbers you are talking are ridiculous. Pay to ship it to TX.

sounds like he might have like a late 50's or so bumper that is REALLY big.

Take it from a hard to please New Yorker. Tri-City is the place to use PERIOD! Charged me $300.00 and change a piece for my '69 coronet bumpers. Came back gorgeous!
