ANYONE EVER TRY TO SKIN A CHALLENGER HOOD AND PUT IT ON A 71-74 CHARGER?

I'M THINKING OF GIVEING IT A TRY..........:headbang:

Which Challenger hood!? T/A, R/T, Shaker? If you don't use a 71-74 Charger bubble hood for a starting point the R/T hood would not look right due to the ridge in the middle of a standard 71-74 Charger hood, now a T/A scoop would work on a standard 71-74 Charger hood and IMO would look best out of all the Challenger hoods and you can buy just the T/A scoop and graft it into the stock hood.

Always wished I would have kept my '73 Charger and cloned this car. :headbang:

I was thinking of doing a R/T challenger hood. I have one available that is rusted out on the under side. You bring up a good point about the ridge on a flat hood. I couldn't bring my self to butcher up a good bubble hood. I have a nice flat hood and the T/A scoop sounds like a good idea!! Thanks!!

Yes I think the T/A scoop on the standard hood or just a regular 69 Six Pack scoop looks equally as good!! as in the picture above. Good luck!

My 68 Coronet had the skin of a 70s Cuda (the twin power bulges w/ the inserts)..Looked Awesome!!!:headbang:

Stuart, That red 68 looks great with the T/A scoop! alot better that the sixpack style scoop, almost looks like it was made for it!!!

A friend over in Denver graffed a Challenger R/T hood onto his 74 Charger hood. Came out really nice. He is working on matching the recessed part onto the top of the fenders. I'll get pics when I'm back over there but probably won't be til the first of May. He also installed a 440 with 518 tranny.

What scoop is on the Burn Notice Charger? That would be awesome, I love that show!
