Tubular Upper Control Arms

For those of you that have it, was it worth it? I'm in the process of rebuilding my 72 charger suspension. I already have brand new energy suspension bushings and ball joints just relaxing at the house waiting to be installed. I'm plannig on finishing the suspension this weekend. But at the same time I'm debating going to tubular control arms, as I've been told they help alot with the handling of the car. I'm looking at these.

I don't know the pros/cons of these, however, they certainly would not trap as much crud as the stock ones do/did!

I have the firm feels on mine. They look better than the stamped ones, like donny said, they don't trap as much crud. As for handling, hard to say. My shocks were shot, my t-bars were fatigued, bushing were rotted. I changed too many variables to give you a definitive answer as to whether the tubular UCAs made any difference.

I'm going back and forth if I'm gonna buy it. I guess I'll figure out this weekend, depending on if the old ball joints want to come out.

I have the Magnum Force units and they are great. The added plus is that you get a little extra adjustment if your car is lowered etc. They do clean up the front end and the tolerances got to be a lot better than the old stamped steel units. Good Luck, you have a lot of good choices out there to pick from.

Do yourself a favor. Get the RMS (Reilly Motor sports) ones. Much stronger, and less expensive too. You're buying from the MFR...not a middleman with markup.

I just bought a setup for my A body to use with coilovers.

You understand the shock towers were never made to support the weight of the front end. So I hope you aren't just using a coilover shock on the tower itself

Well bit the bullet and just ordered tubular control arms from just suspension. Also ordered their 1" torision bars. Will have the front end completly rebuilt soon enough.
