Hi,
I am doing a bare to the metal restoration of a Plymouth Roadrunner, 1968 with a A833, manual steering and floor shifter. Due to a bad timing, I had two years between the disassembly and assembly of my steering column. Everything looks fine and thanks to this forum, I have found nearly all the information and was able to assemble the steering column.
But for one part, I am not sure where it needs to go... it is a spring, about 3-4 inches long with a diameter that fits over the inner shift tube on the top (to the steering wheel) and to the bottom (behind the lower bearing).
Maybe anybody out there can help me out on this where this spring needs to go. Any help is appreciated.
Regards,
Thorsten
