1970 Charger Column Shifter Issue

1970 Charger with automatic column shifter. There is slight movement in gear selector, when turning wheel. Close to switching gears when wheel is turned. Problem is somewhere in steering column with loose nut/pin/spring etc
Maybe someone had similar problem and already know where's the problem. Thanks
 
That sounds like the shaft may be dragging either due to internal corrosion or something else.
Look at the shaft as it exits the firewall. Is it centered in the outer jacket?

If the shaft isn't centered, maybe it rubs the shift arm as it turns?
 
Got some photos. Shaft is centred and nothing touches it.
I think it's something from interior side.
