hi everone.barry here.just wanderin what this "K"means on my 67 coronet.its punched out .never seen nothing like it.is it rare? should i be running from that sh&^%..ha..ha..just kiddin..can somone help me w/this????thank you and God Bless!.Bear R.-

not sure if that is rare or not,i have seen that punched out on a couple of my cars also.It might just be that whoever stamped the tag did it for inspection purposes,like when you buy something and there is a tag on that says inspected by whatshisname.I'm sure somebody else can chime in that might give you a clearer reply.

It's a typical inspection stamp for the St.Louis plant. They used different stamps but that's very common.

What is NOT common is a /6 three on the tree car.

yup, inspectors punch. Detmatt covered that in a previous post. It's very common and all it did, back in the day, was verify that someone had checked the build sheet against the sales order against the VIN against the actual car setting in front of them.
