I just converted my 68 over to a 383 4-speed. It is a original gold car like was mentioned in a earlier post.

Yep, it was ordered as a 'insurance get around".. I have the order sheet when the kid put his deposit down, and still had to get his Mother's approval..! They noted that on the paperwork. it is a 383 4bbl, 4 speed car. I'm not looking for a higher value, just thought the black and white color combo may have been rare at that time. I just love this car and want to know more about how many were made. Your info helps, thank you..

Black cars are usually pretty easy to sell and the white and maroon interior is unusual and pretty cool looking. Definately a better "sales" color than green or gold.

Beautiful cars gentlemen! AARudy, love the color combo on your S.S. It looks awesome!

I love that gold.. man what a nice car.. great job!

And this reminds me that I had an original triple black 68 GTX convertible 440 4 spd. It was missing the original running gear and was no longer black but what did I expect for $2000.00? Wish I had it now!

Rudy, very cool car!! This is exactly the kind of oddballs I like checking out at shows as there's so few left this nice that haven't been humped up to GTX's or RR's.

GoldenCommando, was the ragtop on Ebag before? I thought I remember seeing a gold 68 like that listed before. Nice ride.

God damn I say god damn, both your rides are SWEET. Dig the rims painted the same as the bodies...

THANKS! I agree - There's no way I'll clone it to the GTX.. I love it for what it is.. (im saving my clone money for a 71 i have) It did come with different wheels from the factory, but I always wanted a steel wheel car, and think it looks so cool with em on it. Next step is the old school battery and new washer bottle! The car was exactly how you see it when I got it, I only need to do a few minor things to finish it off. This car came with a lot of great documentation, the build sheet too.. It now sports a Eldebrock carb, but I have the original in a box along with the original air cleaner too. It runs too good for me to mess with it at the moment.. I'm just gonna drive it as is.

AARudy nice 68 Sport Satellite 383 4spd... Very Sweet looking car

Goldencommando nice Convertible Sport Satellite 383 4spd conversion...Sweet ride
