lean burn conversion

I did the conversion using Jegs kit. Now the car wont start unless you release the key. Is this the new ballast resistor or :sad10:something else?

You probably have the thing hooked up wrong at the ballast resistor. You need to have 12v to the coil while cranking, then power from the "output" side of the resistor after it starts and your key returns to the run position..Your description indicates that you get the engine rolling over without power to the coil in the crank position of the key,,, then return the key to run position and power is sent through the ballast and to the coil... then wham,,,, it starts! Get a meter and start checking for power...
