I know this is a stupid question.

How do I get the knob off the switch. I got the bezel unscrewed but I can't see where the knob comes off to get it through the dash.

Thanks

Kevin

If it is like my 63 there is a button on the bottom of the headlight switch. You push the little button, hold it down and pull the knob out. Some switches may require a little more pull than others.

Like Eric said; I recall something similar on my 65 Belvedere light switch.

Thanks guys!!! You're right on. Reached up found the button

Its on the race car and I'm going to wire a hot wire from our main switch panel into the switch on the dash to make it hot when I want it to be.Then I'm going to wire it from the stock switch to the head lights so I can get them to work again. Some of the return roads get pretty dark at night.

Can you please guide me on how to remove the actual headlight switch on my 67 GTX? The dashboard lighting works intermittently and the previous owner said it happened to him years ago and he just sand papered the contacts. I can get the post out but unsure how to get to contacts without breaking something.
Thank you
Tim

You press the small button, pull out the shaft, and unscrew the nut securing the switch to the dash.
