Sounds like a blast to go there at least once. Never been to Detroit but I assume it must rock as far as these types of shows go. After all is is the birthplace of American muscle. I find it kind of odd we don't seem to have more stuff like that in Southern California. Seems like a perfect environment for such an event.

Oh well will have to live vicariously through you all and the pics I hope you'll be posting. Enjoy!

Made the trip. Started in Pontiac and headed south toward Birmingham major traffic and too hot to sit bumper to bumper. It was great even in the heat but no where to park so did not stay long. 40 dollars to park in the park for god sake what a rip. Three cars swiped at the event a 66 Chevelle, 66 corvette, PaPa John's 72 Camaro. Got to say been to everyone since the first one it still is fun seeing all the cars.

You should try to make the trip onetime. We stay about 5-6 miles away from Woodward Blvd at Somerset Inn. $119 a night and the cleanest, nicest rooms I've seen in years. Its in Troy MI. Just enough distance away from the Cra Cra's.
