To all our members here who are vets, I thank you for your service and salute you. No matter whether you were in combat or in any support role or in the reserves or the Nat Guard, you all contributed to serving and protecting our great country and your fellow citizens. You gave of your time and many of you gave much more. There is no higher calling. God bless you all.

Military Brat here. Dad was in the US Air Force from 1950 - 1974. He served in Korea and 2 tours in the Nam 1967-1969. R.I.P Dad . Died at age 56 due to Agent Orange Exposure. Still miss you Dad.

A huge thanks to all that served this Great Nation !!!

I would like to say that I'm very proud of all of our veterans every day, especially today.
I'm proud of my dad and five uncles that served during WWII. My uncle Doug was in the Bataan Death March and a Japanese prison camp for the duration of the war.
I'm proud of my uncle Bob that served in the Korean War.
I'm proud of my three brothers who served in the Air Force. My brother Rex served in Viet Nam in 1968-69.
I'm proud of my own service in the Air Force and I would do it again without reservation.
Thanks to all of the veterans on this board and everywhere. Your service will not be forgotten.

that gave the ultimate sacrifice, for our freedom...

{not really considered a branch, so to speak, but they are veterans/patriots too, they all earn my respect}

Veterans..

My wife Lynn and I want you all to know that we appreciate your good wishes and thanks. She was a Military Police officer from 1974-1978 and I was US. Army combat aviation from 1975-2015 with several breaks in between for a total of 29 years and 7 months. We live quietly in the Vermont woods and wish every day for peace to break out globally but know it never will. More of our fellow citizens will die and be broken in body and spirit going forwards. The best that we can do is to honor them, help them, and keep them in our minds as they go about the awful business of serving in harms way. Bless them all and bless those of you who care enough to say so. Peace. And thank you from both of us. We were both 17 yrs old ....
