Not on the lever it self but goes on behind it (same assembly piece) so that when the pedal is depressed it, in turn, depresses the switch which causes your brake "on" light to illuminate.
So I mis-spoke. I checked my car it's actually infront of the lever on a little bracket so pushing it down opens that switch and activates the brake on light.
in front meaning near the firewall or in front close to driver seat, i see alittle bracket that is empty close to the driver seat location someone removed mine. is there a black wire with plug in attached to yours? i see a long black wire with round plug hanging down. thanks
yeah in front as in closer to the seat. That black wire would be where the switch is supposed to plug into. If you are missing the whole bracket piece then you'll need that. In the pics I've attached you can see the switch right by the handle
