I've heard that there is some sort of cover/box or something you can put an optima in to make it look like a classic mopar factory battery. Anyone know anything about it/where to buy one?

Just buy an Interstate Megatron. Close enough and you have the best battery on the market.

I think you are referring to battery toppers. Personally, I think its a waste of money, when you can get gel-cell batteries that look like originals, or just roll with the battery you have, I have a red top, and it doesn't bother me that it doesn't look like a 40 year old battery.

Or you can take an old repro and gut it like I did and then put the new smaller, more cranking amp, lighter weight Odyssey battery hidden inside.

Or buy a group 27 NAPA 825 CCA,remove the two flat caps and replace with Mopar caps with color of your choice,90% of those that look wouldn't know the difference.

62MAX- Any idea where they sell the colored caps?

I think you'd have to take them off an old one. My opinion, if you have an old one to take them off, why not gut it and then have the whole package!
