I want to get 15x7 steel wheels, and the Crown Vic ones are the right bolt pattern but apparently the center hole is too small by about 2mm? Could they be turned on a lathe to make them fit? They probably wouldn't accept dog dish caps, but that's fine with me. Seems like a cheap alternative and easier to find. Thoughts?

I thought Ford wheels had a bigger center hole?

You can buy a reamer the size you need or get an adjustable reamer.

I found one on ebay to open up the holes in a intake manifold that I'm useing. There are a few sellers who have used machinist tools. I think I paid $15 for the one I needed. It had a tapered shank for a collet so I turned it down to fit my 1/2" drill chuck. Make sure it has a decent taper at the cutting end. Some are squared off.

Bought a pair of Mopar ford 15x 7s I mounted them on a 8.75 no tires on them . They went on but had to pry front back front a couple times to remove them. Didn't damage them but there sitting in the corner . Bought a set of 15x8 Wheel vintiques Dual pattern fit fine.

If they are Police Interceptor wheels, you can get dog cap hubcaps that look similar to Mopar ones.

80's 5th Avenues had 15x7 factory and will accept the Mopar 9" dog dish cap.

I see at least three of those cars per year in my JY adventures and have purchased enough for two sets for an average of $15 per wheel.

Be careful as the spare was 15x6 and could have been swapped on and never noticed that it was different.

Seems like this is one of those "best kept Mopar secrets".

Put 1980 Mercury Marquis 14 x 7 rims on my 66 so I could keep my original wheel covers.
I opened up the center holes with round file. No problem.
