Hi all !

Since August 2011 I'm working on a '68 Coronet. I'm french and I bought the car from Mexico, it was a copy of the General Lee Charger..

small 14" wheels, old 360ci, lots of cracks on the body, rusty frame..

This is how it looks now, I am working on it every day..

Welcome to FBBO from CT. It's blasphemy to make a "General Lee" clone out of anything but a '69! Should have called that one the "Senor Pancho" considering where you said you got it from. I like what you've done with it!

Welcome from Minnesota. Nice car, big change. Looks good.

Looks good from Ohio also! Keep at it, u need wipers when it rains!lol

Welcome to FBBO from sunny SoCal. Where in France are you and how did you find your car in Mexico?

welcome to FBBO from NorCal

Welcome from MI. Great looking car, glad you went away from the "01" clone.

Thanks all !

There are not many Mopars in France, I only know one other 68 Coronet and we see few Charger but you are really lucky if you see a Mopar in the street...

For mine, I didn't like the fact it was a copy of a Charger..

When I had it nothing was working, no gauges, wipers, radio, turn and stop signals.. The brakes were olds, leaky engine..
I worked on everything and there is a list of what I added/changed :

Engine/drivetrain :
- Full rebuild
- 360ci 0.030 bore
- Forged pistons
- 650 edelbrock carbon
- Edelbrock performer intake/camshaft
- Comp cams timing chain
- Msd ignition ...
- Minitorque starter
- 727 torqueflite

She needs a new exhaust line (I bought a 2'5" Pypes, it's in transit..)

Brakes :
- Front Wilwood 6 pistons 12" rotors brakes
- Rear Mustang Cobra disc brakes
- All new stainless steel fuel lines
- Wilwood tandem master cylinder

Chassis :
- Mopar performance subframe connectors
- Heavy duty Mopar leaf spring
- 2" Lowering blocks
- Monroe rear shocks / KYB front shocks
- Hotchkiss front sway bar
- New steering

Wheels :
- XXR 526 20x9 front 245/30/20
- XXR526 20x11 rear 295/30/20

I need to do few more things to complete this car, like the wipers, the heating system.. Actually I am making a fiberglass hood. My goal is to make this car lighter as possible with fiberglass hood, trunk, front fenders and front and back bumpers. With the small block ( I will add aluminium heads) it will be very light for a B-body. Actually with the aluminium fuel cell, bucket seats and some lightweight parts the car is around 1550kg..

Here is a before and after pic of the chassis :
